Masinde was quick to bid farewell to the departed soul and wished the family and the people of Kabula God's mercy in accepting the hard reality of loosing a loved one. The by-elections are as a result of resignations by former Senators' Wetangula & Murkomen, one to vie for the Speaker of the National Assembly which he won and another one appointed CS respectively. Bungoma Senate Race has so far attracted slightly over ten, number of candidates interested in the senate position. Elections in Bungoma will be held on 8th December 2022 whereas in Elgeyo- Marakwet has been scheduled for next year 2023, January 5.
