Director of Trustpine Travel Agency Arraigned Over Mauritius Job Scam

By EoK Editorial: Photo Credits: DCI Kenya -X Maria Wangare Kamunge, also known as Rish Kamunge, the director of Trustpine Travel Agency, has been arraigned in court over allegations of defrauding unsuspecting Kenyans in a fake job recruitment scheme targeting opportunities in Mauritius. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Kamunge lured job seekers with promises of lucrative employment abroad, charging them between KSh 200,000 and KSh 400,000 each. However, victims later discovered that the promised jobs were nonexistent. Some even traveled to Mauritius, only to find themselves stranded at the airport without any support before being deported back to Kenya. Investigations have so far revealed that a total of 43 victims sent a staggering KSh 12.9 million to the suspect.
