He said the move will help address the adverse effects of the climate change that Kenya is facing. “We have to initiate long-term resilience activities to cushion the people against drought and food insecurity,”  ~~President William Ruto. The latest happenings in the Bungoma Senate race is that things have taken an interesting twist as the immediate former Bumula Member of Parliament Mr. Moses Mwambu Mabonga realized that he had lost the ticket to newcomer Walter Mukinginyi Trenk on a technicality. Mr. Mabonga failed to submit his application as an aspirant to the party before the closing of the exercise on the 13th of October which had been set by the IEBC. Not to take a technical knockout lying down, and refusing to accept the fact that he had lost the opportunity to be the candidate on the party's ticket, the former legislator has been making frantic efforts to see the President Dr. William Ruto who is also the UDA party leader to intervene on his behalf.
