After her nomination and election as Bungoma's deputy governor, the prayefull woman, Pastor Jenepher Mbatiany organized for a thanksgiving ceremony at Kibuk Primary school to give thanks to the lord for the great achievement of elevating her into the second powerful position in Bungoma county.

In her thanksgiving speech which was short for a reason of time to accommodate other speakers, DG. Mbatiany introduced her family led by the husband, Mr. Mbatiany, a man of few words who introduced their family.

The deputy governor proceeded to thank God for the great milestone and also the people of Bungoma for giving them the chance to lead.

Pst. Mbatiany assured residents of their commitment to deliver since campaign time was over and it was time to work on their campaign promises.

In her wisdom and quoting the bible, Mbatiany requested National Assembly Speaker to agree with the president and give them one candidate of the larger coalition, Kenya Kwanza.

Mr. Speaker sir, I am glad that you are here today. We are all aware of the looming division as far as the senate seat is concerned if we don't agree on one candidate. Ford Kenya & UDA are sister parties in Kenya Kwanza, the bible says a House that is divided will not stand and as Kenya Kwanza we need directions from both you and the president on the choice to support less our competitors defeats us. ~~ DG. Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka introduced his team of CEC nominees that were present.

He reminded the people of Mt. Elgon that among his promises to them, one was to get a deputy governor from Mt. Elgon which was delivered so will others.

He assured people of Bungoma that his government will include people from all sub-counties and no one will be left behind.

The governor was happy that Bungoma county had again produced Speaker now of the National Assembly after him serving in the senate, 2017-2022.

Governor Lusaka assured residents that from next week, the county government will be announcing roads they will be working on including the Kibuk-Kitale road 

Lusaka was thankful to the people of Mt. Elgon for giving him 40,860 votes and promised to give back development.

On the Senatorial race, Lusaka, like in 2013 is in a tight position on deciding the party way or remaining quiet to be ready to work with anyone that the people will decide but was optimistic that God will show him the right way as a governor should do.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula was fast to commend Bungoma as a county for fully supporting the William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza government in the 8th August elections.

He requested for unity of purpose among all the Bungoma elected leaders in making Bungoma County better than they found it.

Wetangula delivered President William Ruto's greetings and asked those opposed to his plan to give them time to deliver their best sighting that they had not even finished a month in office neither has the Kenya Kwanza government released their first budget to the people.

Wetangula assured residents of Mt. Elgon that talks were underway and soon the governor will be called in a meeting with KTDA to build the first tea factory in Mt. Elgon and that by the end of their 10 year tenure, Mt. Elgon should have two or more tea factories.

He also made an assurance that coffee farming will be revived in Bungoma and Trans-nzoia as well urged the governor to construct all county roads and in liason with the county government, he was confident that many others will be constructed.

Speaker Wetangula requested the county government to complete the stalled high altitude centre in Mt. Elgon that they began which will put Bungoma on the national limelight competing with Uasin-Gishu county in developing athletics and talents.

Wetangula was optimistic of finding enough sources of funding internationally and locally to develop talents in the county.

According to the Speaker, Bungoma County has at least four Constituencies supposed to be divided into two, being Mt. Elgon, Tongaren, Kanduyi and Bumula of which he promised to look into them when time comes.

Wetangula accepted the fact that Kenya Kwanza found a broke government but will not let people down.

On CBC, Wetangula was happy that the president has already constituted a committee to collect views and asked people to show up and give their views on whether it should be improved or scrapped off.

Wetangula was categorical that him and the president cannot fail to agree on sponsoring one candidate in the senate race but was also loud that whoever will fail to follow their counsel will not be forced to.

Health CS, Dr. Susan Nakhumicha.

The newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for health Dr. Susan Nakhumicha requested the people of Bungoma and Kenya at large to register with the National Health Insurance Fund, (NHIF) for universal health coverage which is a top priority in President Ruto's government.

He likened his appointment, and that of governor Mbatiany as an avenue to raise the feminine voice and deliver their best.
