The ambitious man had just concluded his university in 2021 holding a bachelor of commerce in accounting second upper division class from KCA University under a government-sponsored programme.

The brilliant and ambitious man gannered 8,148 votes emerging second among political giants who are usually well endowed with gimmicks and deep pockets.

At first Kiige was a competitor with the current deputy president who was also vying for the second term as the MP for Mathira but later was elevated into deputizing now the President, Dr. William Ruto after which they proposed another  person who won as the area Mp, Hon.Eric Kahugu

Daniel kiige had very little resources to an extent the Mathira people contributed some few coins which enabled his campaign movement to various areas.

He transversed by foot in the whole constituency with a determination to win the seat but unluckily his success as he says was postponed to a later date .

I did my best during campaigns. I had no money but I thank the people of Mathira who contributed their little coins to ensure I get to all corners of the Constituency. I request all my supporters not to worry for my success was just postponed to a letter date. Let them pray for me as I seek other job avenues so that we ensure the best for Mathira and it's environs. Finding a job is difficult but with their prayers am optimistic I will find one.

At some point, Kiige astonished people when he donated 50 shillings from his 100 shillings and later asked for some change to enable him retire home which again was not enough. Read it on nation on the below link.
