What you need to know;
- Hon. Julius Masinde has been warning Bungoma residents against voting a Senator supported by the governor for obvious reasons.
- Masinde has been going round requesting the public to be extra vigilant in electing their Senator not to elect a governor's"Mkono Boy."
- Masinde has vowed to be the saviour in providing necessary and exemplary leadership as far as the roles of a Senator are concerned.
- Hon. Julius Masinde will be on the ballot as an independent candidate to claim the Bungoma Senate seat.
This has sparked debate on the roles of a Senator and who fits to replace Wetangula among the candidates expected to be met on the ballot come 8th December, less than a months time.
To Julius Masinde, an independent candidate for the position of Senator Bungoma county, popularly reffered to as "Hustler We Kamaki," a county Senator will effectively play his roles when his office is not an extension of the governor's office.
Hon. Masinde has on several occasions warned voters in Bungoma county against voting the governor's choice to ensure Bungoma's oversight office remains lively in the next four years without compromising.
A county Senator is to oversight the county governor and his Government! I wonder how then will someone walk around endorsed by the same governor purporting do his best after he gets into the upper house and to play his roles effectively, coming back to ask difficult questions to a governor that championed for his election? That is not doable. ~~Hon. Julius Masinde, Bungoma senatorial hopeful, (Independent)
Governor Ken Lusaka has been championing for the election of his Ford-Kenya party Candidate and to an extension, Hon. Masinde warns electorates against electing a Senator from the larger Kenya Kwanza Alliance affiliate parties for a reason they are all in the same house with the governor and might be unable to play their roles effectively!
Masinde has also been clear on the candidature of DAP-K's Wafula Wamunyinyi and UDA's Mwambu Mabonga both being immediate former Members of Parliament to their respective Constituencies, defeated in the August polls.
To Masinde, it is unwise to place the interests of the whole county to individuals who failed and as a result voted out from their positions as Members of parliament. He says nothing seems to have changed and Bungoma should not risk going either of the said directions for results might be worse.

In him, Masinde promises a county full of opportunities for young people, fairness in resources allocation, a fair county taxation scheme to all business people and a robust oversigh office, promising to question on behalf of the people of Bungoma all ills in the county government and also supporting what is good for the people.
