What you need to know;

  • Bungoma Senatorial hopeful Hon Julius Masinde today met with Kibabii University student leaders.

  • He castigated Education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu for his recent declaration of doing away with University funding.

  • He later met with youths and women groups in different areas across Bungoma and finally attended a funeral service at Ndivisi.

  • Hon. Masinde requested the people of Bungoma to vote for a Senator who will take good care of their needs.
Registering his dissapointment over Education CS Machogu's remarks on getting rid of Government funding to Public Universities, Hon. Masinde was quick to comment on the matter that has caused division in the country.

The Bungoma Senate hopeful promised the Kibabii University student leaders and other University students of his determination to ensure an affordable Education system in the country for both low and high income earners.

Education has for a period of time been the Equalizer. However, students from humble backgrounds have not been having it easy even when the Government is funding universities. How then can someone wake up today and announce that the government will not be finding universities? Do they want to make University Education a preserve for the rich? Elect me to the senate so that I legislate laws that will not see such an announcement succeeding. ~~Hon. Julius Masinde, Bungoma senatorial hopeful.

The confident senate Candidate assured that he will not be a Senator who will issues threats, blackmail or intimidate the governor to affect delivery of services in the county but rather promised reasonable oversight and supporting the county government where necessary for the success of Bungoma.

He later proceeded to meet youths and women groups in Sibanga, Kabuchai constitueny and midwives at Ndivisi Webuye East Constituency.

He later proceeded to condole with the family of Chumbeli in Ndivisi Ward where he encouraged them to vote for a Senator who will take good care of them, presenting his candidature as the best of them all.

Hon. Masinde has promised to ensure proper resource mobilization once elected into the senate for CBO's and community help groups that will help them initiate projects that will earn them funds to run their groups and organisations.

He promised to legislate laws that will support the real hustlers in all the local villages by legislating laws in favor of small scale traders and all business people since he is one but part of the business community in Bungoma through his famous hustle as an egg entrepreneur.
