WILL WAKOLI EMERGE MAN OF THE MATCH ON DECEMBER 8TH?

Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa & Ford Kenya's Wafula Wakoli campaigning at Cheptais Market.

What you should know;

  • Hon. Wafula Wakoli is the Ford Kenya party senate candidate in the scheduled 8th December by-elections.

  • He enjoys support from among others, UDA MP Didmus Barasa at the expense of his party Candidate.

  • Wakoli is the former Personal assistant to Speaker Moses Wetangula.

  • He enjoys the support of Speaker Wetangula, one of the Western Kenya kingpins with Superb support base in Bungoma.

  • Wakoli enjoys the advantage of age, being a youth with passion and zeal to serve the people of Bungoma.
Bungoma Senatorial elections are set to take place on December 8th 2022.

Over 6 aspirants from various political parties and atleast 3 independent Candidates have shown interest to replace the Simba boss Moses Wetangula.

Hon. David Wafula Wakoli is one, on the frontline but among the interested Candidates.

Wakoli has been serving as the Personal Assistant to Ford Kenya boss and now the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula for some period of time during his service to the people of Bungoma as the county Senator.

Wakoli is believed to have gained his strength and political muscles from his political dad Moses Wetangula whom according to the former Speaker of the senate, Kenneth Lusaka, was one among the top and best senators in Kenya on matters legislation, representation and oversight.

Wetangula is among the few Senators that served in the 12th senate who did marvelously articulating issues and were also robust in defending what was rightful for their people, for Wetangula's sake, the people of Bungoma.

To many, Wakoli is expected to have mastered much from his boss and to an extension will do a much more wonderful job than even what Wetangula did for a reason students do better than their teachers after they are done learning.

Wakoli enjoys with him the advantage of age being youthful and to a feeling that time has come for youths, Wakoli might just be lucky to bank the youth vote as much as other youths have also shown interest, demanding for the same.

With his choice of party Ford Kenya, there is no doubt that the party is the most cherished in Bungoma having banked most of the elective seats in the August 8th general election including the now vacant senate seat which they are targeting to retain.

Even with competition from Kenya Kwanza Alliance affiliate party UDA, Wakoli enjoys support from the larger Simba party and to a larger extent the UDA Party with Kimilili Constituency Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa and a number of UDA MCA's supporting his candidature.

Ford Kenya party Senatorial hopeful, Hon. David Wafula Wakoli.

About the entry of his former MP and DAP-K party leader Wafula Wamunyinyi into the race, Wakoli has no doubt of defeating him right from their home Constituency and across Bungoma.

To him,(Wakoli) it is Wamunyinyi's constitutional right to contest but is quick to add that contesting does not mean winning.

Wakoli is optimistic that both Wamunyinyi and UDA's Mwambu will be defeated with a landslide for a reason they were defeated earlier at their respective Constituencies when they vied as Members of Parliament which will still be applicable at the county level at their Senatorial stub.

With his competitors trying to brand him the 'project' tag, Wakoli laughs them off and seems happy about it that the Speaker like any other voter in Bungoma, in his wisdom has decided to support him.

Wakoli & Wetangula at a past function.

To Wakoli, Wetangula's support affirms that having worked with him for sometimes, it is an indicator that he believes in his ideologies and a revolution he can cause in Bungoma if given Chance as a Senator.

With many factors in his favor, Will Wakoli emerge the man of the match on December 8th?...
