Indications have it that Didmus Baraza will be eyeing the county’s top seat in the 2027 general elections, Michael Koloboy is keenly watching his moves and all the available avenues to ensure his constituency does not stagnate, getting into villages to make sure students are in school as well mingle and interact with his constituents to share experiences, ideas and everything available to be shared as the TAKE OVER journey begins.

The Australian based accountant from Kimilili, just jetted in a week ago and in few days, Kimilili people have got reason to refer to him as their ‘Caretaker MP’ for instances where Baraza cannot be found, Koloboy is available to cover him up.

Koloboy has been in several funerals, mourning with his people, in church services worshipping as well in meetings interacting with the people with clear indications showing, through him, a lion will roar in Kimilili in 2027 as it is always in many parts of Bungoma. Speaking recently at Daraja Mungu in Kibingei Ward during the burial of Mzee Lusweti, Koloboy was quick to respond to sentiments by UDA’s new secretary general Cleophas Malala on folding affiliate parties in the ruling Kenya Kwanza coalition to join UDA, where he disagreed loudly, stating, “Ford Kenya is here to stay.”

He further states that instead of Ford Kenya joining UDA, the vice versa should happen instead.

To the rescue of many needy cases in the constituency, Koloboy has extended his support to students whose hopes of joining secondary school was in bursaries they applied but had no information when they will be disbursed as well not sure if their names could appear on the final list. After listening to them, it touched him that he decided not to let them waste more time at home when their peers were learning and as a result, they are in class courtesy of Michael Koloboy. 

In Education, Koloboy has invested more of his personal resources running with a list of over 500 students whom he has committed to support fully just from his savings, an active program managed by his team even when he is out of country for his official office duties. To him, it is only through education that the sons and daughters of Kimilili, Bungoma and Kenya will dine on the same table with internationally recognized figures, the true equalizer.

Hosting delegations from across the constituency, Koloboy seems more prepared than before not just to take over the constituency leadership but offer a new blend and style of making sure he delivers the best to the people by use of the very people.
