OPINION: PREPARE FOR BARASA'S GOVERNORSHIP EVEN IF THE SYSTEM MIGHT DECIDE TO BETRAY HIM IN THE FUTURE!

In Bungoma, amidst constant factors, the race for the county leadership is quietly being won, driven by evident factors. Furthermore, potential competitors to Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa are confident that the local system may undermine the vibrant MP, serving as a through pass, "TABA!"

Following the 2017 general elections, the then Deputy President, now President, Dr. William Ruto, harbored ambitions of leading Kenya. Rumors suggest that the duo (UhuRuto) had signed an MOU prior, with President Uhuru Kenyatta supporting Ruto's ambitions. However, with the handshake and subsequent shifts, allegiances changed.

William Ruto, a political master planner, wasted no time initiating his campaigns, preparing for an uncertain future. Despite calls to focus on his duties as DP, he proceeded cautiously. Eventually, the system attempted to thwart his ambitions, but it was too late.

During this period, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa was an attentive student in "Mwalimu Ruto's" classes, exhibiting actions akin to a first-class honors graduate of Ruto's school of politics. He stands out, as it is being proven, a successful trainee, who may possibly outperform his mentor.

Today in Bungoma, Barasa is actively preparing for a future that holds no guarantees, understanding the necessity of proactive measures.

Regardless of the system's Intentions, Barasa is poised for success irregardless, echoing the case of President Ruto. Notably, the key figures in Western Kenya, including Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula, Ford Kenya party, and Governor Ken Lusaka, hold sway in shaping the local political landscape. However, they may not likely go against him.

For those vehemently opposed to Barasa, accepting his potential rise may be a hard pill to swallow.
