These remarks come shortly after a recent visit by President William Ruto to Bungoma, where an unfortunate incident of heckling took place. Hon. Masinde, who was present at the event, condemned the actions, revealing that the heckling was not a spontaneous outburst from the crowd, but a planned disruption aimed at advancing certain political agendas.
“It was quite evident that the heckling was not spontaneous, it was planned,”
Hon. Masinde noted. He criticized the misuse of youth by political leaders for personal gain and the settling of political scores, calling it “wrong, uncalled for, and irresponsible.”

Hon. Masinde’s comments reflect a growing concern among Bungoma residents about the direction the county is taking under Governor Lusaka’s leadership. As the county continues to grapple with leadership challenges, there is a rising demand for a significant change to address the issues and put the county back on track.
With calls for a “total reset” in leadership, it remains to be seen how Governor Lusaka will respond to the growing dissatisfaction and whether meaningful changes will be made to address the concerns of Bungoma’s residents.
