Trump’s Self-Deportation App Sparks Fear Among Kenyans in the U.S.

U.S. President Donald Trump has launched a controversial self-deportation app, urging undocumented immigrants, including Kenyans, to voluntarily leave the United States. The move has triggered widespread outrage, with many Kenyans in the U.S. fearing forced removal...

The app, which allows immigrants to register their departure and arrange flights back to their home countries, is part of Trump’s hardline immigration policies. Critics argue that it is a veiled attempt to intimidate immigrants and force them out of the country without due process.

Kenyans living in the U.S. have raised concerns over the policy’s potential impact, especially for those who have built their lives in America.

“Many of us have lived here for years, working hard and contributing to the economy. This app feels like a tool to push us out,” said a Kenyan immigrant in California.

The Kenyan government has yet to issue an official statement on the matter, but experts warn that a mass exodus of Kenyans from the U.S. could have significant economic and social consequences, both for those returning and for their families back home.

As Trump ramps up his deportation campaign, Kenyan immigrants are left wondering whether they will have to make a difficult choice—stay and risk deportation or leave before they are forced out.
