The Ford Kenya youth front in Bungoma County has ushered in a new era of leadership following the official ouster of interim county chairperson Chiveli Williams and the confirmation of Ngoni Denis as the new county youth chair.
This bold transition, endorsed during a highly charged youth league meeting in Bungoma town, marks a strategic realignment in the party’s grassroots machinery as it seeks to reclaim its dominance across the Western region and nationally.
Ngoni Denis, a passionate youth mobilizer and ardent supporter of Ford Kenya's ideology, thanked the party’s youth fraternity for the trust bestowed upon him, pledging to serve with "humility and a great zeal of servanthood."
“Gone are the dark days of intolerance, discrimination and partiality,” Ngoni declared in his acceptance message. “Wide open are the doors of truth, equality, and justice, as echoed in our party slogan.”
The move to replace Chiveli, follows growing disquiet among youth delegates over claims of inaccessibility and unilateralism. A group of youth league officials convened and resolved to install Ngoni Denis, citing the need for fresh energy, unity, and renewed party branding beyond just slogans.
“We cannot sing slogans without action anymore. The reality has hit. We must do exploits beyond the song whose chorus almost lost meaning,” Ngoni added in a pointed message hinting at a shift in priorities.
Ngoni's elevation comes with a commitment to rallying like-minded youths, friends of the party, and members across the county to build a stronger Ford Kenya under the stewardship of National Assembly Speaker Hon. Moses Wetang’ula.
“Let us join hands, pool resources, and restore the party’s confidence, dominance, and dignity in our region and beyond,” he emphasized.
While Chiveli's camp maintains he was yet to be formally notified of the leadership change, party insiders insist the transition reflects the will of the youth and is aimed at revitalizing Ford Kenya’s local operations ahead of 2027.
Ngoni concluded with a unifying tone:
“Leadership is a game of term and turn. To our brothers who have exited, your efforts will not go unnoticed. Thank you for setting the pace.”
As Ford Kenya positions itself as a youth-driven party with renewed fire, all eyes are now on Ngoni Denis and the new youth leadership to steer Bungoma County towards a more vibrant, inclusive, and action-oriented political engagement.
