RECOGNIZING THE ROLE OF ELDERS, REVELATIONS IN BUNGOMA, KIMILILI CONSTITUENCY THAT MAY LEAD TO A RESTORATION PLAN IN 2022.

The Council of Elders globally is respected in a society, unlike in the Western province of kenya where in some parts, they are valueless.

The politicians and  professionals in the society who should be  infront to support development, and empowerment programs initiated by the Elders, are negatively attending to them and Western Kenya elders have continually received negative attention when seeking for unity especially at now whereby based on population strength, luhyas stand a better chance to win the presidency if their votes end in one ballot box.

But how can it be possible when the Secretary of Luhya' Restoration Unity, for the last three years has not been able to access lead political party chiefs to champion the unity of purpose?

The Regional Council of elders groups had given up hope, until in the past three years, to be specific 2019 ,The local Kimilili branch, Bukusu Council of Elders ,Men, Women and Youth , united the sub County based on its Constitution 2012 reviewed 2014. 

They council has objectively solved various challenges facing the Community,at various levels, but they have also registered displeasure of political attention to recognize and support their activities. 

The council has sighted marginalization in the sharing of National and County Cake equitably, most of concern to be job opportunities. 

According to Bucoe Kimilili branch, Kimilili sub-county has missed the County Cake at large with the least job allocation for the last five years of governor Wycliffe Wangamati's reign as compared to the former governor,  Hon. Lusaka's regime. Those appointed as Chief Officers,CECM, directors,are believed not be from the communities in Kimilili, something that the council calls, "an obvious fact. "

In consideration of such,  the Current County government,under his excellency Hon.W.W.Wangamati. Kimilili ward has no representation in the County. The ward has no representation on kimilili Municipality board, despite its over 17,000 votes. The ward ,the home of the late Masinde Muliro,Hon.Elijah Wasike Mwangale has been rejected despite having professionals and academicians.

 

The tour of his excellency W.w.wangamati in the ward on 18/10/2021 was negatively received by the residents, professionals Comrades, (University and Colleges students),

this forced the local Mca David Barasa who is not in good terms with his electorates to skip the governor's Matili tour.

The Community terms community has accepted to take the shame by themrselves, with a promise to act in 2022 elections .

The successive regimes have served on activism,with the later using imposed leader to award Kimilili Hospital board positions to Pius Amutalla ,a representative of the disabled group, Mama Nambuye for mama Mboga and Matatu touts. Pius Amutalla is the only face which could have hidden the shame of the Marginalised ward but it is too late.

The Council of Elders,bucoe kimilili,sights to have severally intervened to the Governor and presented eligible persons for appointment to kimilili Municipality ,all in vain.  Among them, Academician Mark Kisembe, Simiyu Wachilonga, Rev.Mrs Pwoka Amutalla, Hon Edwin Mwangale ,from inzu ya Masaaba Mbale, all from kimilili ward,non was Considered, instead, the County government went ahead  to excercise marginalization of the ward, awarded Chairman ship to Mulama from busia to head Kimilili municipality board. This Could have been another one  to appear of the Governor's tour of the ward. The elders from the region could not be seen anywhere.

This scenario has been Condemned by University and Colleges students, Kimilili comrades leaders, Ezra Mwanambeli-Chair and Boston Wambani, Secretary general and Matili TTI students in the Kimilili comrades Umbrella. 

Kimilili ward is encouraging it's residents to register as voters as they wait for collective action on 9/8/2022.

The vote for the Mps seat seems unfavorable for governor Wangamati's choice, former principal of St. Luke's and County Chief officer Health, Patric Wandili ,who is believed to have marginalised professionals and " fixed" Kimilili Municipality as per his campaign slogan of "let's fix Kimilili,"with Kimilili Hospital board, 

kimilili appointments, Kimilili health tenders, placement of municipality manager, Kimilili Municipality roads, Market tenders to the busia developer among others 

The council also registers it's discomfort to the seating member of parliament, Hon.Didmus  Barasa, with his Closure of Matili R.c secondary school for a reason of not being registered instead of helping it register, his awarding of all Construction tenders to a somali origin, rudely abusing Comrades who have vowed to qualify him a one term MP, especially if he chooses to come with the party, UDA that they have branded it differently, UDA--( Unda Didmus Aanguke) kura 2022.  

Where are the leaders who who respected the say of elders in their communes? Will Kimilili be a learning point to Western leaders and the country at large .
