THE BEAUTY OF MT. KENYA. WHY RAILA, MUDAVADI, RUTO WONT RELENT PAYING A VISIT TO THE PEOPLE OF THE CENTRAL REGION.
Raila Odinga in Meru |
The central region is one of the most interesting especially to the political class. Having sat at the center of power for a more period of time as compared to other regions, it is a center of attraction to the 2022 main contenders, Musalia Mudavadi, ANC party leader and One Kenya Alliance principal, Raila Odinga of ODM and William Ruto of UDA who is also the deputy president.
Mt. Kenya is the most visited region than any other region by the top three contenders in a vote hunt mission among other reasons with campaign being the main.
Raila Odinga has been trying to visit the mountain in an attempt to clear the ills associated with his name in the region in the positive that he gains something in the coming polls. For a fact that the region's voting pattern is normally a united three-quarter one basket vote and in their unity the region has gained much than it has lost producing three presidents out of the four who have served as president's. MP Moses Kuria once joked that in the region, Raila's image was tainted dirty to an extent that a crying baby will immediately keep quiet if they are teased with the name Raila, he was painted in a very bad omen if not evil to the very young of the Mountain.
Unlike other regions, central has the highest votes and if directed in one basket their impact is practical a reason Musalia Mudavadi, Raila Odinga and William Ruto will always not tire visiting the mountain to lure their votes.
The DP has been banking on the promise he had with the president of "yangu kumi, yako kumi," to remind the mountain that they have a debt to settle of late it has turned impractical as on the other hand the ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi has visited the mountain a record of ten times plus to sell his Uchumi Bora manifesto and in practical ways embrace the mountain and youths in his ANC party by appointing the youthful secretary general Simon Gikuru, from the vote-rich region and walking by their side through taking part in fundraising programs and different functions.

Mudavadi unlike the OKA principals, Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi and Moses Wetangula, he has gone out in popularizing his party in the mountain and his candidature, a reason he is believed to be the One Kenya Alliance flagbearer in the forthcoming polls. He hinted at a possibility of getting a running mate from the region with Raila and Ruto too eyeing to get their running mates from the vote-rich region of central Kenya.
Mt. Kenya's Unity has done them best that other regions has something to embrace, especially the second largest majority region of Western from which the ANC Party leader ails from. It is disturbing that the more Mudavadi goes out to hunt with Wetangula the more their home opponents try to fight and humiliate their efforts not knowing that if Musalia wins the Mountain votes, it is to their benefit that a little percentage from the home ground will make him president. WESTERN WILL NEVER LERN IF THEY FAIL TO LEARN TODAY!
The Unity of Mt. Kenya is a lifetime lesson for other regions as far as the Kenyan politics is of concern.
