Ford Kenya delegates arriving at the BOMAS of Kenya.

Bukusu council of elders Kimilili branch has congratulated the Ford Kenya party for successfully holding it's National delegates Meeting at the Bomas of Kenya on the 6th of November 2021. 

In a congratulatory message from the council's secretary general, Martin Wakoli Sakwa, the council also noted and advised the opposing Wamunyinyi/Eseli faction to seek reconciliation with the elected leadership sighting their readiness to spearhead mediation talks between the two factions.

The Council also dissociated itself from a group of elders who visited Governor Wycliffe Oparanya in Kakamega last month to endorse ODM party leader Raila Odinga as their preferred candidate as part of tge statement from the secretary general Martin Wakoli Sakwa reads...

"Bucoe kimilili Branch Congratulates Ford kenya party for the NDC meeting held today at Bomas of kenya to elect it's new leaders, With Hon Wetangula as party Chairman and further endorsing him as the Party's presidential candidate to give him chance to equally compete and cooperate in OKA ( One kenya Alliance ) with his equals.

As Bucoe kimilili Branch, we did all possible moves to unify Ford kenya leadership at Lechante Hotel in kimilili.

We now call upon Dr Eseli /Wamunyinyi faction to seek reconciliation. The legitimate Council of Elders has capacity to mediate in reconciling our son's.

Bucoe kimilili further desociates itself from a group which visited Governor of Kakamega to endorse Raila Odinga as their presidential candidate since we also believe in our son's capabilities and with our support Victory will come our way...  " (SECRETARY GENERAL. MARTIN WAKOLI SAKWA.)



Bucoe Men, Women and youths, also Comrades-Unversity and College students in kimilili are now appealing to Ford kenya party to independently allow kimilili residents to have a choice of their leaders without interference, noting that the Constituency has only one MCA, Madam Florence which equates to 25% with no Mp.

The meeting was held successful despite orders from Political Parties Tribunal which called for the two factions to call off their meetings until after pending cases were determined and eyes are now on the registra of political parties on whether he will accept today's elected leaders or not.


The meeting was attended by OKA affiliate party leaders with ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi being represented by Senator Cleophas Malala and secretary general Wakili Simon Gikuru.
