Hon. Walter Mukinginyi Trenk- UDA's likely candidate in the Bungoma Senate Race.

UDA Party is one of the most popular parties in Bungoma apart from the historical Ford Kenya which has been in existence for a long period of time actively in Bungoma and parts of the larger Western region.

Being new and the fastest growing party in the entire country, UDA as a party is expected to field a candidate in the slated Bungoma senate by-election on 8th December 2022.

The serious contenders for the Bungoma Senate seat will be known at the end of this week after the UDA candidate is officially unveiled by the party.

Early in the week there was confusion as to who was the person to be nominated by the party but it has since been established that Hon. Walter Mukinginyi Trenk, the Secretary General of Friends of Ruto Movement is the one in line for the party ticket after the other aspirants failed to meet the deadlines set by the IEBC, including the immediate former Bumula Member of Parliament Hon. Moses Mwambu Mabonga.

The remaining six weeks will be crucial for the two main camps to reach the over 600,000 voters in the populous county.

Whoever will convince voters with ideas and their personal desired for a better Bungoma in the senate will most likely carry the day and not like it was thought before that he who will carry either the former senator, Moses Wetangula's blessings nor the President's, also the party leader of UDA.

Other parties apart from UDA & Ford Kenya's Wafula Wakoli have shown interest by fronting a candidate, NO-PEU has frontend Hon. Geoffrey Wanyonyi as it's candidate among others.

On the race also is the youthful & Vibrant Raidon Munoko who's likely to contest as an independent candidate, this are some among the many notable individuals who have shown interest in the senate seat.

Next week's UDA Party's pronouncement of their candidate with all likeliness pointing at Walter Mukinginyi Trenk after technicalities locked others out will set the stage for serious and vigorous campaigns across the county.

Time will tell...
