Walter Mukinginyi Trenk is a lawyer and a talented cricketer. 

He was born and bred in Bungoma, Kituni Village, Webuye West Constituency of Bungoma County

His father, the late Trenk Mukinginyi participated in the independence struggle and was elected to the location council in the mid 1950s and later to the Bungoma County Council where he served until 1979, representing Bokoli ward which is now Webuye West Constituency.

Hon. Walter Mukinginyi is the Acting Chief Executive Officer at Cricket Kenya. 

On his academic qualifications, he holds a law Degree from the University of London and an LLM from the Universitè Catholiquè de Louvain-Belgium.

Hon. Mukinginyi has been in politics as a strategist for many political campaigns one being at the presidential campaign of Dr. William Samoei Ruto in the just concluded general elections.

He dons several hats.

He is the UDA Deputy Organizing Secretary- Strategy.

He is also the Secretary General -Friends of Ruto Movement, a lobby group that campaigned for President William Ruto's election since 2019.

Hon. Mukinginyi is passionate about human rights and a believer in the rule of law. He was a foot soldier in the struggle for the restoration of multi-party democracy in Kenya in the early 1990s where he worked as an understudy to the two luhya political giants, Pius Henry Masinde Muliro and Michael Christopher Simiyu Wamalwa Kijana.
