  • President Ruto assured Kenyans of the Government's commitment to restore peace in Kerio Valley and Empowering farmers.

  • He was speaking yesterday during an interdenominational thanksgiving service at Kabarnet ACK showground in Baringo County.

  • The President was accompanied by his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, elected leaders and former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala.

President William Ruto yesterday assured Kenyans especially those at Kerio Valley of his Government's commitment to restore peace and empower farmers in the region. 

He said the government will take decisive measures to ensure security in Kerio Valley. 

President William Ruto said the Government is determined to end cattle rustling in the region and ensure farming activities around region gets the support they deserve.

“We will ensure this region is peaceful, we want our children to go to school and the people to focus on meaningful economic activities." ~~President William Ruto.

He was speaking during an Interdenominational thanksgiving service at Kabarnet ASK Showground in Baringo County.


President Ruto asked leaders from the region to shun divisive politics and work together to serve the interests of the people. 

President also said his administration will partner with the private sector to construct dams. 

This will ensure the country achieves its food security ambitions and create wealth for the people through farming.

The President was accompanied with a number of elected leaders and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.

Former Kakamega Senator, Cleophas Malala was also present accompanying the president.

On his social platforms, he tweeted;

I had the pleasure of joining H.E President William Samoei Ruto for an Inter denominations service at kabranet, Baringo County. We later retreated to statehouse for a lengthy chat on matters Kenya Kwanza. It is certain we have a BETTER TOMORROW. ~~Hon. Cleophas Malala.
