8th December 2022 was set aside as the day for senate by-elections in Bungoma County, a vacancy that was created as a result of former senator, Moses Wetangula’s resignation as he vied for the National Assembly Speaker’s position which he won.

Bungoma has been in campaign mode since then with aspirants heading to the field to battle it out for party tickets as well independent and at least 8 candidates will be on the ballot with Wetangula’s aide Wafula Wakoli as Ford Kenya party candidate in President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Coalition which also has UDA’s Mwambu Mabonga from the same coalition vying for the same seat.

Hon Raidon Wekesa Munoko is one but standing tall among the candidates. Favored by age as well not aligned to any of the political groupings, going it as an independent candidate, Munoko stands to pull a surprise that will see Bungoma having him in the larger office of the County Senator.

Munoko’s agenda is one that touches on many aspects, coiled with technocrats from all fields of interest, of all genders and different ages who keenly ensured that Bungoma as a whole comes first and more so that which is required of a County Senator.

Promising to provide in plenty that which is required by the people who are his bosses once elected into that office, Raidon Munoko is a man willing to taste all the bitterness associated with his office and his responsibilities for his people to enjoy the sweetness.

Munoko is Optimistic of a better Bungoma if all happens that a senator is elected who will remain steadfast in asking tough questions to the county governor in aspects not well with the people. Among all the candidates, he says his candidature is that with a solution as far as oversighting the county government is concerned.

While going round on his campaign trail, Munoko promised to, among many others, initiate bills in the senate that will see the life of the very common people in Bungoma improved, entrepreneurship and Agriculture flourishing, development of talents and sports in all constituencies among many others as far as the interests of the is concerned.

Besieging voters in the vast county to consider his candidature to the upper house, Munoko has promised nothing more than DELIVERY once elected as the county senator.

He is hopeful that Bungoma will do the necessary in considering him and from as early as his first day in office, service delivery will be in high gears and everyone will reap big and take pride in electing a Senator who cares and means his word.
