What you need to know;
- Pastor Giulia is from China But currently lives in Italy.
- The sermon was delivered on the 6th of June, Online via WhatsApp.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, peace be with you. Thank God for His love that has brought us together on this online platform to study His words. I believe that each of you sincerely follows the Lord and loves God’s word. Before we begin our study, I would like to pose a question: What is your greatest hope in believing in the Lord?
We all hope to welcome the Lord’s return and be brought into the kingdom of heaven by Him. Disasters such as earthquakes, epidemics, famines, typhoons, and floods are becoming increasingly severe all around the world, and wars are breaking out in various countries. As more and more disasters and wars occur, they are having a huge impact on the global economy and people’s lives. Many people have lost their jobs, their loved ones, and their homes. Countless lives have been killed in these disasters and wars, with casualties reaching into the tens of thousands.
In some countries, droughts, floods, and insect disasters have led to reduced or even no harvests. Many people don’t have enough food, and some even have no food to eat, living in pain and despair, which is an unbearable hardship.
In addition, numerous people worldwide are suffering from various diseases such as cancer, AIDS, malaria, disabilities, etc. These diseases rob people of hope for survival. Many people are unhappy in their marriages. Spouses cheat on each other, causing marriages to fall apart and giving people constant pain ...
These are the most realistic problems.
Therefore, everyone is eagerly anticipating the Lord’s return to lead us into a beautiful kingdom. Only by entering there can human beings enjoy a happy and beautiful life. As it is prophesied in Revelation 21:3–4 in the Bible,
📕📕“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
In the kingdom of heaven, there are no tears, no sorrow, no pain, and no death. It is a place filled with joy and happiness, where the air is permeated with a sense of bliss. Those who enter the kingdom of heaven will be free from all labor, worries, and troubles, and will experience a life of true happiness in the beautiful kingdom that God has prepared for mankind.
Do you want to enter the kingdom of heaven? Of course Yes, we all desire to enter the kingdom of heaven.
So,
What are the requirements and standards set by God for us to enter?
Can all believers enter?
How can we enter the kingdom of heaven?
Let us all read through attentively.
How to get cleansed of sinful nature to enter the kingdom of heaven.
"✨✨Regarding whether believers can enter the kingdom of heaven, there are various understandings among people. Most people tend to believe that we have already been forgiven of our sins, graced with salvation, and are justified by our faith by believing in the Lord Jesus. They believe that when the Lord returns, He will directly take us into the kingdom of heaven.
But is this viewpoint correct?
Does it have a basis in God’s word?
Did the Lord Jesus ever say that those who are justified by faith and saved by grace can enter the kingdom of heaven? No, He did not!
Has the Holy Spirit testified to this? No, He has not!
Therefore, it is clear that this viewpoint is merely a human conception and imagination. It cannot serve as a basis for entering the kingdom of heaven."
Actually, the Lord Jesus’ words are quite clear about who could get into the kingdom.:
📕“Not every one that said to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of My Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).
📕“Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the son stays ever” (John 8:34–35).
📕“You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy” (Leviticus 11:45).
📕“And holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:!4)"
The Lord Jesus clearly told us that only those who do God’s will can enter the kingdom of heaven, that only those who escape sin and get cleansed of corruption will have a place in the kingdom. That’s the only standard for entering the kingdom of heaven. That is to say, only by being freed from sin and attaining holiness can one enter the kingdom of heaven.
Does being redeemed of sin and justified through faith mean someone is doing God’s will?
Does it mean they have got rid of their sinful nature and achieved holiness?
❌Of course NOT.
All believers in the Lord can see the fact that although we’re redeemed and justified through faith, we’re constantly sinning, living in a cycle of sinning by day and confessing by night. We are all trapped in the bondage of sin, committing sins involuntarily and experiencing immense suffering. And most people’s faith is entirely because they are greedy for God’s grace: They give thanks to God when they see God’s blessings, but complain and pass judgment on God when they don’t see His favor. Some even go as far as denying and betraying God. People do not pay attention to practicing the words of the Lord. They rush to church when faced with crisis, but in times of peace they follow worldly trends. Is this a reflection of people's true state of belief?"
The facts show us that having sins forgiven and being graced with salvation doesn’t mean they’ve escaped sin altogether, that they don’t disobey or resist God, and particularly not that they have achieved holiness and are worthy of the kingdom. That’s just people's wishful thinking.
✨✨God is holy and righteous, so would God allow those who are constantly sinning, judging and resisting God, into heaven? Absolutely not."
Requirement for entering the heavenly kingdom = Attaining holiness
Without holiness, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.
Do you agree with this view?"
Now, let’s think about a very critical question:
❓ 1. The Lord Jesus forgave our sins, but have we become holy?
A. Not yet.
B. Yes, we have been holy and no longer sin.
Amen, the right answer is A.
Thank God! You all have a very good understanding.
Now we understand that if we cannot rid ourselves of our sinful nature and attain holiness, even a lifetime of believing in Jesus cannot guarantee entry into the kingdom of heaven.
But why can't we break free from the bondage of sin even after believing in Jesus for 10 years, 20 years, or even a lifetime?
The passage below will give us the answer.
📚📚“Man was forgiven his sins, but as for just how man was to be purged of the corrupt satanic dispositions within him, this work had yet to be done. Man was only saved and forgiven his sins for his faith, but the sinful nature of man was not extirpated and still remained within him. … The sins of man were forgiven, and this is because of the work of God’s crucifixion, but man continued to live within his corrupt satanic disposition of old. This being so, man must be completely saved from his corrupt satanic disposition, so that his sinful nature may be completely extirpated, never to develop again, thus enabling the disposition of man to be transformed.”
We can clearly see from this passage that the Lord Jesus was crucified as mankind’s sin offering, redeeming us from sin. All we have to do is confess and repent to the Lord to have our sins forgiven. We’re no longer condemned and put to death under the law. We are allowed to come before the Lord in prayer and enjoy the peace and joy He bestows, along with His abundant grace and blessings. This is what being “saved” means here. Being saved for faith only means being forgiven of sin, and not being condemned under the law. It’s not like people imagine, that once saved, they are always saved and will be worthy of entering the kingdom.
In other words, Lord Jesus just came to do the work of redemption to forgive our sins, but not resolving our sinful nature. That is why we still often sin and cannot break free from the bondage of sin.
For example, take grass. We cut it down with a sickle, but soon it regrows. We cut it down again, and it regrows once more. Why does this happen?
So, how can we prevent grass from growing?
The only way is to pull out its roots; then it won’t grow again.
That’s right. we are like the grass. Sins are sinful behaviors, like the leaves of grass above the ground, can be seen by people.
Sinful nature refers to the corrupt dispositions we have deeply hidden in our heart. People are driven to sin because we have the sinful nature. Although our sins are forgiven, the sinful nature within us still exist, that's why we cannot stop sinning. If we want to stop sinning, we must have our sinful nature resolved.
How can we solve this sinful nature and get purified? No one can purify themselves, or any other people, because the whole mankind is deeply corrupted by Satan. It requires God to come back in the last days and personally carry out the work of removing man's roots of sin."
✨✨So, after Lord Jesus completed the work of redemption, He promised to come again. His return in the last days is to resolve people’s sinful nature and completely save man from sin. Only this work of God in the last days will allow people to be cleansed from sin and enter the kingdom of God!
At this point, some may ask, "You say that the Lord will come again to do one further stage of work. Is there any biblical basis for this?”
Absolutely, there is biblical evidence. Let’s take a look at two verses:
📕"Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:5).
📕“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin to salvation” (Hebrews 9:28)."
These scriptures clearly prophesy that the second coming of the Lord in the last days will bring another step of salvation, separating us from sin. When we talk about salvation here, it refers to the work that God will do when He comes again.
So, what work does the Lord come to do to remove our sinful nature? Let’s take a look at a few scriptures:
📕“Sanctify them through Your truth: Your word is truth” (John 17:17)
📕“I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:12-13).
📕“But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things” (Romans 2:2)
📕“He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48).
📕“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” (1 Peter 4:17)."
By carefully pondering these scriptures, we can understand that the Lord Jesus foretold His second coming to express NEW truth and carry out the work of judgment in the last days. Through this work, He will guide people to enter all the truth, enabling them to completely break free from sin and the influence of Satan, so they can attain full salvation. That is to say, when the Lord Jesus returns, He will express NEW truths that we have never heard before. These truths can purify our sinful natures and God will use them to judge and cleanse people’s sins.
Actually, in the Bible, there are over 200 places mentioning that the Lord will come back to do the judgment work in the last days. These prophecies indicate that when the Lord Jesus returns, He will judge us, who have been corrupted by Satan. It is also mentioned in the Scripture, “the judgment of God is according to truth” and “Sanctify them through Your truth.” This is telling us that God will use the truth to do the judgment work. But what is the truth?
The truth refers to God’s word, the New words to be expressed by the Lord when He comes back for the judgment work. The word of God is like a double-edged sword that can pierce through the soul and spirit, joints and marrow of a person. His NEW words can make us holy; when the NEW word comes, judgment comes.
In conclusion, when the Lord Jesus comes back in the last days, He will express the truth to judge and cleanse the corruption in us.
In the past, we used to think that God’s work of judgment merely meant that He would come to reward the good and punish the wicked, to bring punishment upon various individuals.
However, upon further reflection on these scriptures, we have come to a better understanding. God’s work of judgment actually refers to His coming in the last days to express the truth and cleanse humanity of their sins. This work can resolve our sinful natures, allowing us to attain holiness and enter God’s kingdom. Therefore, the judgment work that God will carry out upon His return in the last days is salvation for corrupted humanity, rather than punishment.
We can take an example here to understand what is the judgment work like.
"When the returned Jesus speaks more new words to judge and purify us, it’s like a doctor treating a patient. If the patient follows the doctor's orders for a period of time then he would be cured gradually."
Brothers and sisters, do you know why doctors can cure our illness, while others cannot?
⭐① Doctors can examine the root of our illness.
⭐② The doctor will give patients a detailed report, after reading it, patients will know more clearly the causes of their illness
⭐③When patiences follow the doctor’s orders, their illness can be cured step by step, little by little.
Similarly, why does the 2nd coming of the Lord Jesus speak more truth and purify us?
① the judgment words spoken by the returned Jesus will help us know the root cause of sins.
② After reading God’s new words, we can know how Satan tempts us to commit sins. God's words will reveal Satan’s tricks and help us see through Satan's tricks.
③ God’s new words also show us how to get rid of sins. When we follow and practice God's words, God’s words would become our life principle, then we no longer live by our sinful nature, so that we can be purified gradually.
Let us read two more passages, and then we will have a clearer understanding of how God uses His word to judge and cleanse people in the last days.
📚📚“Therefore, after that stage of work was finished, there still remained the work of judgment and chastisement. This stage is to make man pure by means of the word, and thereby give him a path to follow. This stage would not be fruitful or meaningful if it continued with the casting out of demons, for it would fail to extirpate man’s sinful nature, and man would come to a standstill at the forgiveness of his sins. Through the sin offering, man has been forgiven his sins, for the work of the crucifixion has already come to an end and God has prevailed over Satan. But the corrupt disposition of man still remaining within him, man can still sin and resist God, and God has not gained mankind. That is why in this stage of work God uses the word to expose the corrupt disposition of man, causing him to practice in accordance with the right path. This stage is more meaningful than the previous one, as well as more fruitful, for now it is the word that directly supplies man’s life and enables the disposition of man to be completely renewed; it is a much more thorough stage of work.”
📚📚“Christ of the last days uses a variety of truths to teach man, to expose the substance of man, and to dissect the words and deeds of man. These words comprise various truths, such as man’s duty, how man should obey God, how man should be loyal to God, how man ought to live out normal humanity, as well as the wisdom and the disposition of God, and so on. These words are all directed at the substance of man and his corrupt disposition. In particular, the words that expose how man spurns God are spoken in regard to how man is an embodiment of Satan, and an enemy force against God. In undertaking His work of judgment, God does not simply make clear the nature of man with a few words; He exposes, deals with, and prunes over the long term. All these different methods of exposure, dealing, and pruning cannot be substituted with ordinary words, but with the truth of which man is utterly bereft. Only methods such as these can be called judgment; only through judgment of this kind can man be subdued and thoroughly convinced about God, and moreover gain true knowledge of God. What the work of judgment brings about is man’s understanding of the true face of God and the truth about his own rebelliousness. The work of judgment allows man to gain much understanding of the will of God, of the purpose of God’s work, and of the mysteries that are incomprehensible to him. It also allows man to recognize and know his corrupt essence and the roots of his corruption, as well as to discover the ugliness of man. These effects are all brought about by the work of judgment, for the essence of this work is actually the work of opening up the truth, the way, and the life of God to all those who have faith in Him. This work is the work of judgment done by God.”
These passages shed some light on how God uses the truth to do His work of judgment, right? In God’s judgment work of the last days, He will primarily express truths to judge and expose how all aspects of man’s sinful natures have deeply corrupted by Satan, as well as all the satanic viewpoints we have. From His words, we can see the truth fact of how we have been corrupted by Satan, then will have heartfelt remorse, hate and despise ourselves, forsake the flesh and put God’s words into practice, and achieve true repentance and change. God’s new words will fully expose the sinful manifestations of man such as arrogance, deceit, and evil, as well as the motives and adulterations in our faith, and even our deepest, most hidden thoughts and feelings. These will all be incisively revealed by God’s new words. Reading God’s new words, it feels like God is right there judging us to our faces. We will see our filthy, evil, ugly selves thoroughly revealed by God, leaving us feeling ashamed, with nowhere to hide, and unworthy of living before God. Judged through God’s words, we will see more clearly that we have been so deeply corrupted by Satan to the point that we have no human likeness at all; our heart will be filled with regret and hate ourselves, and gradually develop true repentance. When we begin to live by God’s words, our sinful nature will then be cleansed and changed gradually.
Here is an example: We humans with sinful nature are just like a cup filled with dirty water. How can we make this cup clean? We have to keep pouring a large amount of clean water into this cup. As the clean water fills up this cup, the dirty water naturally gets diluted and even flushed out. Is that right?
The process of accepting God's new words as our life is the process of having our corruption cleansed. When people understand the truth, as the truth enters into them, the negative things and satanic corrupt dispositions will naturally disappear. This is the judgment work God will do by His words in the last days, ultimately aimed at transforming and purifying people."
Brothers and sisters, is it clear for you now what work can purify us and make us holy?
A. The grace of the Lord Jesus;
B. The judgment work done through the new truth expressed by God;
C. Reading the Bible."
The correct answer is 🅱️️
Congratulations to those who chose B.
Someone may say, “I believe in Jesus Christ and hold on to His name; that’s enough for me. I don’t have to accept the end-time judgment work, and the Lord will not forsake me.” Brothers and sisters, do you think such a person is qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven? Absolutely not. The following two passages will help us understand this better. Let’s read now.
📚📚“You must know what kind of people I desire; those who are impure are not permitted to enter into the kingdom, those who are impure are not permitted to besmirch the holy ground. Though you may have done much work, and worked for many years, in the end if you are still deplorably filthy, then it will be intolerable to the law of Heaven that you wish to enter My kingdom! From the foundation of the world until today, never have I offered easy access to My kingdom to those who curry favor with Me. This is a heavenly rule, and no one can break it!”
📚📚“Christ of the last days brings life, and brings the enduring and everlasting way of truth. This truth is the path by which man gains life, and it is the only path by which man shall know God and be approved by God. If you do not seek the way of life provided by Christ of the last days, then you shall never gain the approval of Jesus, and shall never be qualified to enter the gate of the kingdom of heaven.”
Therefore, without resolving our sinful nature, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven; because God is holy, and only holy people can enter the kingdom of heaven. It doesn’t matter how many years we have believed in God or how many years we have worked for the Lord. Even if we help others and pray every day, and even if we have many outwardly good behaviors, as long as we still have corruption and our sinful nature is not removed, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. This is a heavenly rule that cannot be broken by anyone. Only by welcoming the Lord’s second coming, learning and practicing the truth expressed by the returned Lord for purifying our sinful nature, can we have the opportunity to enter the beautiful kingdom of heaven.
In the present time, disasters are growing increasingly severe, and wars are erupting one after another. If we wish to receive God’s protection amidst these calamities and get rid of the painful life, the only way for us is to welcome the second coming of the Lord Jesus and accept the judgment work that He will do in the last days. Only through this can we gain God’s protection, have our sins purified, and ultimately enter God’s kingdom. As we can see, disasters are getting worse, so whether we can welcome the second coming of the Lord Jesus directly relates to our outcome and destiny.
In Summary:
✨1. The standard for entering the kingdom of heaven is getting rid of sinful nature and becoming holy. Without meeting this standard, no one can enter the kingdom of heaven.
✨2. Although our sins are forgiven through our faith in the Lord Jesus, our sinful nature still remains deeply rooted. Only by accepting the judgment and purification work done by the returned God in the last days, can we cast off the binds of sin, escape sinful nature and enter God’s kingdom.
✨3. When God returns in the last days, He will express the truth and perform the work of judgment and purification, using His words to cleanse the sinful nature of humanity."
