Are you boarding for Gov. Natembeya's Canaan?

Trans-Nzoia Gov. George Natembeya

Likened to a pregnant cow about to give birth, Trans-Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has been clear about his mission to fight for the people of Western Kenya, promising a more practical approach than his predecessors, with whom he has declared war.

In his speeches over the past few months, Gov. Natembeya has specifically targeted NA Speaker Wetangula's Simba Party, Ford Kenya, terming it an old, ineffective institution that should be shut down due to its failure to deliver to the people of Western Kenya.

Gov. Natembeya has called on all Western Kenya communities to rally behind him to reach Canaan, which he claims to have seen.

"I have seen Canaan, and I can attest that Canaan is good. I want to take you all to Canaan without leaving anyone behind."

The governor has urged Western Kenya to unite under one party, similar to how other communities consolidate for greater bargaining power, rather than fragmenting into factions, which only weakens them in the end.

He argues that it cannot be considered tribalism when only Western Kenya unites, but not when other communities do the same.

He has promised to unite all tribes within the region under one big movement, "TAWE MOVEMENT," to liberate Western Kenya politics and give them a stronger national bargaining position, as befitting the second most populous community.

For Natembeya, it is time for the old guard to step aside and make way for a new generation of leaders.
