Adagala’s Posho Mill: Grinding Maize, Building Women, and Powering Vihiga’s Future

Image
EoK Reports | Vihiga Hon. Dr. Beatrice Adagala leading a Woman Group Beneficiary to test their Poshomill  In the heart of Vihiga County, where every sunset smells of maize roasting and every homestead holds a story told over a plate of ugali, something powerful is taking shape. And no, it’s not a high-rise building or a flashy photo op, it’s the humble sound of a posho mill, gifted by Hon.Dr. Beatrice Adagala to local women groups. But if you listen closely, that grinding sound is louder than politics, it’s the sound of vision, dignity, and economic empowerment. Critics may call it “low key.” But real leaders don’t play to the gallery, they respond to the ground. In Vihiga, like in all Luhya Counties and a bigger percentage of Kenya, ugali is not just food, it’s culture, it’s daily life, it’s economic rhythm. And what better way to plug women into that rhythm than giving them a tool that serves both the stomachs of the people and the wallets of women? This posho mill is not a token...

EoK Reports |By EoK News Desk   In a jaw-dropping twist just two weeks after the flashy launch of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has executed a political massacre—firing top party officials without warning, decapitating the party's founding leadership, and throwing his own deputy Cleophas Malala under the political bus. 🚨 Malala: From Co-Founder to Flower Girl At the center of this purge is a man once hailed as the party’s national face—Cleophas Malala. Today, insiders say he’s nothing more than a decorated mascot. Malala wasn’t just excluded from the decision-making table—he was ambushed. Gachagua, with zero consultation, axed Malala’s closest allies from key party organs, replacing them with political loyalists handpicked from his inner circle. The move stunned party members, including Malala himself, who was left smiling in public while fuming in private. "He has no say. No seat at the table. He’s now the guy who holds the...
