I come to do what I can as Tim, to take Bungoma to greater heights,” he stated with a calm conviction that left listeners glued to their radios. EoK Reports | Hon. Peter Salasya//Hon. George Natembeya  Presidential candidate and Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has launched a scathing attack on Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, all elected on a DAP-K party ticket, accusing him of advancing politics driven by personal interest and tribal cards rather than addressing pressing economic challenges facing his county. In a strongly worded statement, Salasya expressed disappointment in Natembeya, whom he described as a friend, for prioritizing divisive rhetoric over real development. “My brother, you are the governor of Trans Nzoia, and Kitale town alone is bleeding with jobless youths at Matisi. What have you done to create job opportunities other than employing goons in town?” Salasya posed. The outspoken legislator challenged Natembeya to account for the number of graduates he has helped secure jobs, the cottage industries he has established, and the meaningful sports infrastructure he has developed to uplift the county’s yout...

Through a public notice issued Monday, KRA acknowledged the overwhelming last-minute turnout, which led to technical difficulties on its iTax platform, preventing many from filing on time. “We appreciate all taxpayers for the overwhelming turnout in filing 2024 income tax returns. Due to system issues experienced on June 30, a waiver of penalties and interest has been granted,” the authority stated. As a result, KRA has set a new filing deadline of July 5, 2025.
