UDA PARTY? HUSTLERS OR DYNASTIES? BUNGOMA SENATE RACE UPDATE.

Image
What you need to know; UDA Party has given the immediate former Bumula Member of Parliament Mwambu Mabonga the parties ticket to vie for the Bungoma Senate seat. Other party aspirants including the acting cricket Kenya CEO Walter Trenk have proceeded to court to seek an explanation on the same. The UDA party's Hustler con is being unmasked every single passing day. When President William Ruto branded himself as a Hustler way back in 2014, majority of Kenyans in the lower echelons of the population were swept off their feet by the possibilities that lay ahead if only they could make William Ruto their president. Were they wrong?  In Ruto's first act of disappointment, he picked individuals to his cabinet who were either billionaires or Maybe the very minimum qualification for one to be in the cabinet was that they must be rich? Of course none of them hustled in the real meaning of the word.  The next test came for the party's choice of their flag bearer in the Bungoma Senato

BUNGOMA SENATE RACE UPDATE! THE UDA STALEMATE...

Is UDA Party under auction from the real hustlers especially in Bungoma to a pre-determined Senatorial flag bearer? As the Ford Kenya candidate Wafula Wakoli continues with his campaign, UDA internal fissures have emerged. Some party officials seem to have deliberately decided to bungle party primaries by playing underhand games by tightly controlling the information which is supposed to be public. The party is facing a credibility crisis since president William Ruto rode to power with promises to the so-called Hustlers that they will be part of his government. It seems like words are easier to utter than actions. One and a half months since he was sworn in, president Ruto and his close allies seem to be at sea with regard to actualization of the pre-election promises. The battle for the UDA ticket in Bungoma has now moved the theater from the party headquarters and statehouse to the courts. Two UDA aspirants Hon. Walter Mukinginyi Trenk and Hon. Timothy Kitang'asi Lukorito have re

BUNGOMA SENATE RACE UPDATE! "DIDMUS BARAZA'S MOVE IS WILD & UNFORTUNATE!" ~~UDA's WALTER TRENK.

Image
Photo courtesy- Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa & Ford Kenya's Wafula Wakoli The senatorial by-election race in Bungoma gets more interesting every passing day with twists and turns as far as the race is concerned. Yesterday on endorsing a Ford Kenya Party Candidate for the senate seat, there were claims made by one of the members of Parliament elected on a UDA Party ticket that UDA will be supporting a Ford Kenya candidate in the by-election. However, the claims were swiftly dismissed by one of the UDA aspirants Hon. Walter Mukinginyi Trenk who termed the claims as wild and unfortunate.   Hon. Trenk said in a statement seen by our reliable source that the UDA party will be fielding a candidate in the by-election and that no relevant organ of the party has ever met to discuss the position taken by the said member of Parliament.  The position taken by the Kimilili Member of Parliament is a personal one and is against the party rules and the Kenyan law governing the conduct of members

The ‘Real’ Youth is NOT represented in Political Leadership in Kenya.

Image
KPD - Opinion. Photo Courtesy - The Guardian Nigeria. The United Nations defines a youth as someone below the age of 24 years and above 15 years. However, the East African Community defines a youth as that between ages of 15 to 35 years. According to the Regional analysis of Youth Demographics in Kenya, the proportion of the youth age, 18-35 in Kenya, constitutes 25% while those below 15years make up 43% of the total population. The 2019 population and housing Census puts the number of youths below the age of 35 at 35.7 million out of the whole population of 47.6million people. Using any of the above data it is evident in Kenya that youths are underrepresented in leadership and governance in East and Central Africa if not the world especially political leadership but great interest is concentrated to Kenya. In a society where youths could have been occupying almost 60% of leadership and governance positions, it is unfortunate that not only county governments but also the national gover

BUNGOMA SENATE RACE UPDATE! REASONS BEHIND LENDRIX WASWA'S PULLING OUT.

By the Specialized Politique Communique... Seated, Hon. Wafula Wakoli, Ford Kenya's candidate when he was endorses today by Hon Lendrix Waswa(standing) The twists and turns which have characterized the Bungoma Senate race scheduled for December 8th continued today when Lendrix Waswa, a Bungoma businessman, shelved his bid in support of the Ford Kenya candidate Hon. Wafula Wakoli. Although Mr. Waswa did not give reasons for abandoning his bid, we have learned from reliable sources that it is because his search for a party to run on had hit a snag after it was discovered that the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties has locked up its system for six months after the last general elections to allow for election petitioners to refer to the unaltered system. Under the law, all petitions are supposed to be concluded within six months.  Hon. Kendrick Waswa addressing supporters and Wakoli's team on endorsing the later. Lendrix therefore could not manage to sign out of Ford Ken

BUNGOMA SENATE RACE UPDATE!HAS UDA PARTY SETTLED FOR WALTER TRENK...

Image
By the Specialized Politique Communique... Hon. Walter Mukinginyi Trenk- UDA's likely candidate in the Bungoma Senate Race. UDA Party is one of the most popular parties in Bungoma apart from the historical Ford Kenya which has been in existence for a long period of time actively in Bungoma and parts of the larger Western region. Being new and the fastest growing party in the entire country, UDA as a party is expected to field a candidate in the slated Bungoma senate by-election on 8th December 2022. The serious contenders for the Bungoma Senate seat will be known at the end of this week after the UDA candidate is officially unveiled by the party. Early in the week there was confusion as to who was the person to be nominated by the party but it has since been established that Hon. Walter Mukinginyi Trenk, the Secretary General of Friends of Ruto Movement is the one in line for the party ticket after the other aspirants failed to meet the deadlines set by the IEBC, including the imm

BUNGOMA SENATE RACE UPDATE. AFTER WETANGULA...

Image
By the Specialized Politique communique... Former Bungoma Senator, Moses Masika Wetangula. As Kenyans celebrated their 59th Mashujaa Day, the search for the replacement of Hon. Moses Wetang'ula as Senator of Bungoma County continued unabated. Getting someone passionate about the plight of the people of Bungoma is the main agenda not about who the now speaker of the National Assembly will front neither President Ruto's UDA Party. FORD Kenya party conducted their own predetermined "nominations" through what they called an electoral college and concensus building thus gave the ticket to Hon. Wetang'ula's former aide Hon. Wafula Wakoli.  UDA party which is the other most popular party in Bungoma, on the other hand, is yet to give the name of their candidate but it is widely believed that the ticket will go to Hon. Walter Mukinginyi Trenk, the Secretary General of Friends of Ruto Movement, a lobby group which campaigned for the election of President William Ruto.

BUNGOMA SENATE RACE UPDATE! WHO IS THE UDA CANDIDATE?

Image
By the Specialized Politique communique... It is now quite clear that UDA party will be fielding a candidate in the Bungoma Senatorial by-election scheduled for 8th of December after it emerged that they have planned for the official unveiling of the candidate at the party headquarters on Wednesday this week. The officials at the Hustler Center remained tight-lipped about who the candidate might be.  However our own investigations have revealed that it is likely to be one of the two individuals who had shown interest in flying the party flag, Hon. Moses Mwambu Mabonga, the immediate former Bumula Member of Parliament being one of them but a source who requested for anonymity made it clear that the Hon. Mabonga never submitted his application by the last day of the IEBC deadline which was on the 13th of October 2022.  Hon Mabonga is also seen as a difficult sell to the Bungoma electorates having recently lost his bid for re-election in Bumula constituency as a member of National Assembl

BUNGOMA SENATE RACE UPDATE. "SIKU YA NYANI KUFA..."

Image
By The Specialized Politique communique... Immediate former Bumula Member of Parliament, Mwambu Mabonga. The latest happenings in the Bungoma Senate race is that things have taken an interesting twist as the immediate former Bumula Member of Parliament Mr. Moses Mwambu Mabonga realized that he had lost the ticket to newcomer Walter Mukinginyi Trenk on a technicality. Mr. Mabonga failed to submit his application as an aspirant to the party before the closing of the exercise on the 13th of October which had been set by the IEBC. Not to take a technical knockout lying down, and refusing to accept the fact that he had lost the opportunity to be the candidate on the party's ticket, the former legislator has been making frantic efforts to see the President Dr. William Ruto who is also the UDA party leader to intervene on his behalf. He has been entertaining hopes that the President will, based on their previous relationship, instruct the party officials to hand him the ticket.  However,
